HIROSHIMA COMMEMORATIVE ACT

Vienna United Nations Peace Bell, Vienna International Centre, August 8^th at 16.30 hours 2007

In commemoration of the destruction of HIROSHIMA and NAGASAKI in August 1945  

The Vienna NGO Committee on Peace staged a Memorial Service on the anniversary of the Atomic bombing of Hiroshima in Japan by ringing the Ceremonial Peace Bell. The Traditional Peace Bell was a donation from Japan to the United Nations in Vienna. It has become the venue for various demonstrations for peace.
